Scratch away the top coat of black ink to create stunning images by revealing the white layer below. Create exquisite line drawings and black-and-white illustrations with high contrast. Features a clay-coated hard panel as a rigid substrate. Prepared with a final coat of Higgins Waterproof India Ink on top. Use a scratch knife, hobby knife or abrasive, such as steel wool, to remove the ink and expose the white clay underneath in specific areas. Scratch away the highlights and textures and allow the black coating to remain for shadows. Claybord colored inks can be added to create dramatic impressions (sold separately).
